Why do the drawers seem shallow?

The main reason is that there are three drawers in a Strasser vanity where most use only two. Naturally there is less room. There is more functional space in three medium height drawers than in two deep drawers, and they are easier to organize.

The top drawer is shallower than the others because there must be enough room to clear the bottom of the bowl. This drawer is ideal for small items that need to be kept organized.

There is a perception that tall items will fall or tip out of the drawer. Actually this will not happen. The tallest item that can be placed there is 7", the drawer side is 4" thus it can not tip over (plus in bottles with liquid all the weight is at the bottom.)

How high are the vanities?

Our standard heights are 32" and 34.5" The Courve is only available in 32” height. Furniture Style is only available in 34.5"
Other products like EuroLavs and Console Suite have different heights.

Are the counter tops included with my vanity purchase?

The counter tops are not included. They need to be purchased separately. There is an extremely wide selection available from your dealer. We do offer china tops for the EuroLav series because of their unique design.

Do the cabinets come with knobs and what finishes are available?

All cabinets come with knobs free of charge. Slab doors have handles. Brass, oiled bronze and satin-nickel knobs can be specified. If not specified the default is chrome.

In some markets our product goes through distribution and comes standard with chrome knobs already packed in the box. Then the other finishes are $5.00 per knob as it is not feasible to open the box and exchange knobs.

Can I get Strasser vanities without the holes drilled for knobs?

Yes, but this must be clearly specified on the order: “do not drill for knobs”. It may take an additional week. There is no charge for this customization.

Is the toe kick included?

Yes, each cabinet comes with a finished toe kick. It is not necessary to install a toe kick across the front of combined cabinets.

Yes, call our customer service department at 800-445-0494 and request a touch up kit. (Available only in white and biscuit). The shelf life is 10 days.

What are Filler Strips for?

The filler strips fill in the space between the wall and the cabinet. The sizes are 6" x 36" and 6" x 84"; they are intended to be cut to size at the job site. We also have matching scribe strips. As all our vanities have drawers a small filler is sometimes needed to push the cabinet away from the wall to allow the drawer to clear a door jam.

What is Scribe Molding?

Scribe strips are used to trim out small gaps between the vanity sides and the wall created by out of plumb walls or out of square corners. It can also be used to trim out the gap along the bottom edge of vanity after leveling the cabinet.

Can I get my Strasser cabinet unfinished?

No, we are sorry but we offer many color and wood finish options.

Can I purchase extra doors to match my Strasser vanity?

Yes, doors can be purchased separately but only in our standard sizes and only with a cabinet order.

Are the backs of the vanities covered?

No, the vanity is designed without a back. A back is not needed and in fact can make installation more complicated by requiring messy cut outs for plumbing.

Can I get a custom cabinet?

We are sorry, but we do not make custom cabinets. However, all of our cabinet style units are modular. You can configure them in numerous ways to make almost any size or configuration. Use filler strips or scribe molding to bridge any gaps.

Why is there a protective film on gloss white and biscuit door and drawer faces and how should it be removed?

To protect the high gloss finishes on white and biscuit faces during manufacturing, transit and installation a protective film is applied. Do not remove until vanity is completely installed. To remove, look over the back edge of each face for a good starting point- usually a small part of the film that has started releasing. Peel back until complete. Using a hair dryer to warm the film will make it somewhat easier but do not overheat!!! Just warm it.
The thin protective film may lead you to believe you have received the wrong color or imperfections. To remove start at the back edge. For white the film may be blue or clear. For biscuit the film may be white or clear. If you have questions call 1-800-445-0494.

Click to go to our instructions for removing the protective film.

Where can I get a top for the curved front vanity?

There are numerous counter top fabricators in every market that can manufacture a top in a variety of colors and styles.
